An active volcano, it is also the most glaciated peak in the contiguous U.S. Glaciers, remnant of the last ice age have always fascinated me, and here you can clearly see a lot of blue ice and glaciers - this was me most close to a glacier yet.
First view of the majestic active strato volcano, which last erupted approximately 150 years ago stands nearly three miles higher than the lowlands.
Starting the essential hike - skyline trail from the aptly named Paradise point.
Although picture perfect, Mount Rainier is the most hazardous volcano in the Cascades not only in terms of its potential for eruption, but also the risk of producing major debris flows even without eruption.
All the happiness to just be in the PNW temple of Rainier lol
One of the most spectacular aspects of Mt. Rainier National Park is its world-renowned wildflower meadows.

Mount Rainier has different seasons going on at different elevations lol. From spring wildflowers, to summer here and then
... feets of snow in winter!
The best part of my ascent was the views of Tatoosh Range and other Cascade Volcanos. You can see Mt Helens on the top left.
Also the super distant Mt Hood was visible which is more than 200 mi by road from here. Thanks to the clear day
And finally, Mt Adams on the top left and helens on the top right in a single frame too. Legit skyline for mountains!
We also heard the echos of gigantic waterfalls around rainier thanks to the rising global temperatures.
Panorama Point provides stunning views of the Paradise valley, Mount St. Helens, Mount Adams and even Mount Hood!

But do we have more to climb ...
... and we get much more close to the Nisqually Glacier which is one of the larger glaciers on the southwestern face of Mount Rainier .
Just awe-inpiring views here and not for the faint hearted!
